Accessibility

We want BetterBite to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use VoiceOver, larger text, or other assistive technology. This page describes honestly where the app stands today, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us when something blocks you.

What we are aiming for

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and Apple's accessibility guidance for iOS. We are not claiming to have met that standard in full. We are working toward it.

Where the app stands today

Things that work now:

Things we know are not good enough yet, stated plainly:

The parts that are not ours

BetterBite is an iOS app, so it inherits the accessibility features built into iOS — VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Bold Text, Reduce Motion, Increase Contrast and Voice Control. Where our app does not yet honour one of those settings, we have said so above.

Tell us when something blocks you

If any part of BetterBite is difficult or impossible for you to use, please email hello@trybiteai.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what got in the way.

We aim to reply within 5 working days. If something prevents you from using a feature you have paid for, tell us and we will sort out a refund while we fix it.

How this page is maintained

We review this page whenever we ship a significant change to the app, and at least every six months. It is dated at the top so you can see how current it is. When we fix something listed above as a gap, we will move it up rather than quietly delete it.
